Three rows. Twin-turbo V6 power. Klipsch Reference Premiere sound. Iowa's full-size luxury statement, built for family road trips, towing the boat to Saylorville, and pulling into the country club valet — all in the same week.
A 3.5L twin-turbocharged V6, 9-speed automatic, INFINITI All-Mode 4WD® standard on every trim, and up to 8,500 pounds of towing capacity — the 2027 QX80 trades the old V8 for a quieter, more efficient, more torque-rich powertrain without giving up an inch of presence.
From the entry-flagship PURE at $88,590 to the AUTOGRAPH at $113,685 with ProPILOT Assist 2.1 hands-off and Quilted Semi-Aniline leather, every QX80 starts with the 3.5L twin-turbo V6, the 9-speed automatic, and INFINITI All-Mode 4WD® standard.
The 2027 QX80 swaps the previous V8 for INFINITI's new 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 (VR35DDTT) producing 450 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque — more torque than the V8 it replaces, paired with a modern 9-speed automatic and INFINITI All-Mode 4WD® standard on every trim. The result: an 8,500-lb tow rating2, quieter cruising, and a markedly better fuel curve.
Inside, the SENSORY and AUTOGRAPH trims add a 24-speaker Klipsch Reference Premiere audio system tuned specifically for the QX80's cabin, plus the 14.3-inch dual displays running Google built-in. AUTOGRAPH adds ProPILOT Assist 2.14 — INFINITI's hands-off highway-driving assistance — as standard equipment, with traffic-sign recognition and automatic curve slowdown.
Iowa families don't get to use the same vehicle for one thing. The QX80 is the rare three-row that quietly handles all of it — a Friday morning client lunch downtown, a Saturday Hawkeyes drive to Iowa City, a Sunday haul up I-35 to the Mall of America, and a January arrival at the country club valet in the same week. Seven passengers ride in real luxury; an eighth fits with the available Split-Bench Package on LUXE.
For Iowa winters, INFINITI All-Mode 4WD® is standard on every trim, the cabin is heated through the 2nd row on SENSORY and through the 3rd row on AUTOGRAPH, and the 23.59-gallon fuel tank means fewer cold-morning stops on the way to Kansas City or a ski-week trip west. When the weather turns, Dynamic Digital Suspension reads the road and adjusts in real time — standard on LUXE, SENSORY, and AUTOGRAPH.
And when the trailer comes out: the QX80 is rated to tow up to 8,500 pounds2, with Trailer Back-up Assist standard. That's a Saylorville-bound boat, a family camper headed to the Loess Hills for the weekend, or a side-by-side to the lake — without leaving the comfort of a flagship cabin.

That actually exceeds the previous V8 on torque, with a modern 9-speed automatic, lower NVH at cruise, and better fuel economy. Many V8 fans are pleasantly surprised after a test drive.
